In the age of instant communication you might think that site meetings with the client and contractor are less important, but they remain a critical part of any project. Regular meetings enable us to inspect completed work, monitor progress against programme and budget, and look first hand at detail issues that arise. They often take place in cold and draughty site cabins or temporary “meeting rooms” within the building we are working on. Site meetings on our chruch conversion project over the winter always seem to have coincided with the coldest possible weather, so our thermals and thick socks have been essential!
